You will take on a a pivotal role in our Salesforce Marketing Cloud domain team, leading the technical direction and execution in the Salesforce Marketing Cloud environment. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager (EM), you primarily focus on addressing complex technical challenges, harnessing your advanced technical expertise to enhance the effectiveness of the team. Your role involves close collaboration with the Product Owner (PO) to translate product requirements into effectual technical solutions that achieve our OKRs.

A big part of your role is fostering a culture of technical mentorship, conducting comprehensive technical reviews and maintaining robust solution architecture. Aligned with IU's customer-centric approach, you play a critical role in delivering maximum business value to our customers, driving continuous experimentation and learning within the team. Working with the Head of Engineering in your cluster, you ensure the team's technical policies align with our broader technology strategy. This role is perfect for a seasoned Marketing Cloud professional who is passionate about leveraging technology to solve business challenges and who thrives in a technical leadership position.

Your tasks

• Act as the primary technical decision maker within the team, overseeing technical design of Salesforce Marketing Cloud and features developed by the Salesforce Marketing Cloud team.
• Handle the most complex and critical issues within the team to deliver maximized business value.
• Provide technical mentorship to other team members, guiding them through complex problems, promoting their technical growth, and fostering a culture of continuous learning within the team.
• Steer the squad's endeavors to seamlessly integrate with the global product roadmap and strategic business objectives, delivering premium Marketing Cloud solutions.
• Remain actively engaged with hands-on Marketing Cloud developments, leveraging a deep knowledge base in SSJS, AMPscript, HTML/CSS, SQL, and utilizing Marketing Cloud APIs.
• Guide architectural decision-making to craft complex Marketing Cloud solutions that respond adeptly to multifaceted marketing needs.
• Promote a culture of delivering high-quality, customer-centric solutions, driving continuous experimentation and learning in the team.

Your Profile

• Proven track record in Salesforce Marketing Cloud development, demonstrating expertise in the platform’s capabilities, customization, SSJS, AMPscript, and API integration.
• Deep understanding of marketing automation principles and Salesforce Marketing Cloud best practices.
• Proficiency in Agile project management, promoting a culture of ongoing integration and delivery.
• Ability to navigate challenging technical predicaments, offering inventive and effective resolutions.
• Exceptional communicative prowess, adept at fostering meaningful interactions with both technical teams and broader, non-technical audiences.
• Experience in leading technical decisions and projects, with a proven ability to meet business objectives and timelines.
