Backend/Frontend Engineer

Beam is a tech start-up leveraging Generative AI and NLP to build AI Agents for business operations. Beam's generative agents help organisations to boost their productivity by automating repetitive tasks in seconds. Powered by LLMs, AI agents are easy to setup, seamlessly integrate with business applications, and support teams where they need them most. As a Staff Frontend Engineer at Beam, you will play a lead role in defining the future of our frontend architecture. You’ll guide design decisions, set engineering standards, and build scalable, performant web applications that power our AI Agent platform. We are looking for someone who brings architectural maturity, a hands-on mindset, and a strong sense of ownership in building user-facing systems at scale.
Lead and evolve the frontend architecture , ensuring scalability, maintainability, and long-term design consistency.
Build and maintain complex, high-performance, and responsive web applications used by global teams and clients.
Partner with backend and ML engineers to ensure frontend systems integrate cleanly with dynamic, AI-driven workflows.
Drive engineering best practices across the frontend stack, testing, documentation, performance optimization, and accessibility.
Mentor frontend engineers, lead code reviews, and help shape a strong engineering culture.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 8+ years of frontend development experience , including experience in a staff or lead-level role
Advanced proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) , TypeScript , and React.js.
Proven ability to architect and scale frontend systems in complex product environments.
Deep understanding of component-based development , responsive design, and frontend performance optimisation.
