As a Software Engineer on the Quora Core Product team, you will:

Have a significant impact on a wide array of features that are essential to the Quora community, working on projects that improve user engagement, drive user growth, generate informative and engaging content using AI, ensure high-quality content through effective moderation, and enhance the overall creator experience

Leverage data and experimentation to create solutions that will reach millions of users

Develop full stack applications with Python and React

Contribute to projects that shape our core product experience — driving growth, ensuring healthy moderation, and empowering creators

Design and launch product features at massive scale, using data and experimentation to guide each iteration

Drive projects from ideation to production using the full technology stack

Collaborate with designers, product managers, fellow engineers, and data scientists to prototype and implement functionality and analyze impact

A 2025 or 2026 graduate with or pursuing a B.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

Foundational understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design through coursework or practical experience

Experience with Python or similar programming language, or the ability to learn them quickly

Previous software engineering experience via an internship, work experience, and/or coding competition

Familiarity with Python, React, TypeScript and/or SQL

Curiosity about AI and hands-on experience exploring AI tools or building AI-powered projects through coursework, personal projects, or previous work-experience

For US based applicants, the salary range is $97,600 - $139,000 USD + equity + benefits.

For Toronto and Vancouver based applicants, the salary range is $125,320 - $142,783 CAD + equity + benefits. For all other locations in Canada, the salary range is $116,965 - $133,264 CAD + equity + benefits.
