Software Engineer - Production

With manufacturing sites across the US, UK, Germany and Denmark, LGC Biosearch Technologies has plans to continue growing. The NGS Software Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing a customer-facing platform that supports the adoption of NGS products and services. The Engineer will work within a Scrum team to deliver high-quality software solutions using modern technologies, including laboratory applications such as LIMS and ELNs, and custom-built client portal applications.
Work within a small Scrum team to design and implement robust, high-quality software solutions using modern technologies.
Contribute to new digitalization initiatives for customer-facing processes and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
Support administration of a heterogeneous network of Linux and Windows servers, with access to confidential information.
Collaborate globally with product management, marketing, and commercial teams to define project scope and requirements.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, code reviews, and release management.
Utilize relational database knowledge and, ideally, experience with statistics or big data analysis for KPI reporting.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
Advanced skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.
Hands-on experience with MongoDB and familiarity with relational databases such as MariaDB.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using Jira and Bitbucket.
NET technologies, including C# and ASP.NET, and Angular 16+ with RxJS and Signals.
proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
Fluent English plus at least conversational German
